Marks first garnered attention for her role in Fox Searchlight’s THE SESSIONS (Winner of the Audience Award and the Special Jury Award for Ensemble Acting at the Sundance Film Festival). She stars in two upcoming indies; eOne’s GRACE. (Best Actress Award Winner at the Woods Hole Film Festival) and Sonny Mallhi’s directorial debut, ANGUISH. Currently she can be seen as Monte Porter on ABC Family’s THE FOSTERS. Guest stars include BATTLE CREEK (CBS), NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (CBS), MONDAY MORNINGS (TNT) & SOUTHLAND (TNT). Theatre work includes; DOESN’T ANYONE KNOW WHAT A PANCREAS IS? for Ensemble Studio Theatre-LA (Ovation Award Nomination for Featured Actress in a Play and StageScene-LA Award Winner for Featured Actress/Comedy), The world premiere of Nicholas Kazan’s MLLE. SHARON LAWRENCE as SONIA
You may know her from her multiple EMMY nominated and SAG Award winning portrayal of ADA Sylvia Costas Sipowitz in the ground breaking NYPD Blue or as a stay-at-home prostitute in DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, as Issy’s tender but ditzy Mom on GREY’S ANATOMY (for which she earned her 4th EMMY nod) or a murderous Realtor on MONK or a sociopathic serial killer on LAW AND ORDER:SVU, coming to terms with her long lost daughter on RIZZOLI & ISLES, speaking out for protection of endangered polar bears for the World Wildlife Fund or beating up Larry David on CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. In the summer of 2013 Sharon shot three independent social issue films, GRACE. about addiction and recovery, UNA VIDA about Alzheimer’s and THINSPO about eating disorders. She also appeared in THE PERFECT FAMILY with Kathleen Turner; LIES AND ALIBIS with Rebecca Romjin; LITTLE BLACK BOOK with Holly Hunter; GOSSIP with Kate Hudson and THE ONLY THRILL with Diane Keaton and Diane Lane.
CHASE MOWEN as REEF
Chase Mowen originally from Utah moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue his craft as an artist, actor and musician. He was discovered by Omar Alberto of Omar’s Men and broke out into modeling – working with the industries top photographers such as Tony Duran and Mario Testino. He booked a major modeling campaign for Silver Jeans which put his face on billboards all over the city. He then shifted his focus to pursue acting. He starred in several short films including THE FERRYMAN which premiered at a film festival in Germany, and LINEMAN which was one of the top selected films of the Louisiana Film Prize and winner of the Louisiana Film Grant. Soon thereafter he booked his first feature role in the Tommy Frazier directed film BOOK OF FIRE. He then went on to land his first lead in the feature film GRACE. in which he plays “Reef” a free spirited surfer opposite Annika Marks and Sharon Lawrence. He is an exceptional guitar player and song writer, so much so, that his role in the film GRACE. was expanded so that he could sing and perform one of his original songs in the film. He resides in Los Angeles and continues to write, act, perform and produce both music and film.
CINDY JOY GOGGINS as JESSIE
C Joy Goggins has been a stage actress for over 30 years. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Michigan State University in 1992. She has played many leading roles from Gypsy Rose Lee in GYPSY to Blanche Du Bois in A STREET CAR NAMED DESIRE. C Joy loves the stage and creating characters, some of her favorite roles were in TO GILLIAN ON HER 37TH BIRTHDAY, LADIES OF THE ALAMO, THE DAYS OF WINE & ROSES, ROMANTIC COMEDY, THE HEIDI CHRONICLES, and EXTREMITIES. The supporting role of Jessie in the new feature film GRACE. marks C Joy’s first performance in film. She also has an ongoing passion for coaching actors and was an adjunct professor at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida for eight years.
